1. Scope

These terms apply to the official version 1.0 Japanese complete-edition PDF and English text-edition PDF of Card Earth published through the official distribution page, as well as the work's text, settings, characters, illustrations, and officially released samples. They state the publisher's policy only to the extent of rights the publisher controls. They do not grant rights belonging to third parties. Layout sources, work files, fonts, and other third-party materials are outside their scope unless expressly stated otherwise.

Nothing in these terms restricts quotation, private use, machine analysis, or other use allowed by applicable law.

2. Redistribution of Official Version 1.0 PDFs

Each official Card Earth version 1.0 PDF may be redistributed without individual permission only if every condition below is met. The Japanese complete edition and English text edition are separate canonical files. Make the redistributed edition available as its own unchanged PDF.

  • Do not alter its text, pages, images, bookmarks, links, metadata, or any other content.
  • Recipients must be able to obtain the PDF free of charge, without registration fees, membership fees, purchases, donations, or any other payment.
  • Near the download button, show the work title, creator name, version, official distribution page, and the fact that the PDF is also available free of charge from that official page.
  • A third-party distributor must state that the copy is an unofficial mirror and does not imply operation, supervision, endorsement, recommendation, or partnership by the creator.
  • Do not embed the PDF in an executable file, proprietary downloader, or other program. It must be obtainable as a standalone PDF.

Suggested notice:

This is an unofficial mirror of Card Earth version 1.0 by Curren Starnya (Hoshineko Kururu). The canonical file is available free of charge from the official distribution page. This mirror is not operated, endorsed, or recommended by the creator.

This redistribution permission applies to each official version 1.0 PDF. Later revisions, print editions, asset collections, or other publications may have different terms. If official distribution ends, permission to redistribute a lawfully obtained version 1.0 PDF continues for that edition as long as these conditions are followed. This permission does not apply to redistribution that violates these conditions.

3. Fan Creations and Use of Material

The publisher does not prohibit fan art, writing, translations, readings, videos, music, reposting or editing images, or other derivative uses based on Card Earth. As a general policy, the publisher will not request removal or otherwise assert rights against uses that follow these guidelines. Individual advance permission is not required.

Public fan creations must be suitable for all ages. Do not publish material that requires an age restriction. A degree of conflict comparable to the original work is acceptable. Character abuse—work made for the enjoyment of mistreating a character—and hate creations—work made to mistreat a character because the creator dislikes Hoshineko Kururu—are outside this permission. For other sad stories or endings, please add a short note at the beginning.

Creating for yourself or your family, and sharing with friends, is free. Making something available to anyone under the pretext of sharing with friends counts as publication.

When publishing, display the following information somewhere reasonably easy to find:

  • Original work: Card Earth
  • Original creator: Hoshineko Kururu (Curren Starnya)
  • Official distribution page: https://huggingface.co/spaces/currnya/cardearth
  • If applicable, state that the work is an unofficial translation, reading, edit, or fan creation and describe the kind of change made.

Do not label a fan creation only “Creator: Hoshineko Kururu” or put “© Hoshineko Kururu” on it. That can make the fan creation appear official.

If all information does not fit in the same social-media post, it may instead be available through the post, description, profile, pinned post, or another location that is easy to reach.

This policy does not recognize any individual creation as official, authorized, supervised, or recommended, and does not transfer copyright or any other right. If the content or publication method creates a problem, the publisher may ask for corrections, a change in publication method, or removal.

These guidelines do not waive moral rights or other personal interests, nor do they promise that such rights will never be exercised. Uses intended to defame, threaten, or harass the creator; uses of the work for political, religious, or commercial claims that falsely imply the creator's involvement, approval, support, or responsibility; and other uses that unjustifiably harm the creator's honor or reputation are outside the permission granted by these guidelines. Nothing in these guidelines prevents the publisher from seeking correction of a presentation, removal, recovery of loss, or another remedy available under applicable law. This paragraph does not restrict quotation, criticism, commentary, or other uses permitted by law.

4. Free Publication and Commercial Use

A PDF, translation, reading, image collection, fan creation, or similar material must be free for recipients to obtain or view. It may not be bundled with a paid product or reserved for paid members.

Selling fan creations, including distribution only at cost, or accepting paid commissions is commercial use. Commercial use requires a separate commercial license agreement, which is not currently available.

Creators must not receive tips, Super Chats, members-only benefits, advertising revenue shares, or any other revenue from fan creations. For a video or stream, disable tips and monetization for that instance. If this is not possible, do not publish it there. Advertising placed by the platform itself is allowed when the creator receives no revenue from it.

5. Prohibited Presentation and Distribution

The following are prohibited:

  • Any statement or presentation likely to make others believe that the creator produced, supervised, authorized, recommended, or partnered with the material, including presenting an unofficial website, account, sequel, or information source as official.
  • Distributing or presenting an altered PDF, translation, reading, edited image, or other material in a way likely to be mistaken for a canonical, complete, new, or otherwise official release.
  • Commercial use without the separate license agreement described in Section 4.

Uses that violate law, a service's terms, or a third party's rights are outside these guidelines.

6. AI Input, Training, and Machine Analysis

The work’s text and images may be given to an AI with generation instructions for use as references, whether for commercial or noncommercial purposes. For example, you may ask it to write an alternate scene from the text, make an illustration from that scene using a character image as reference, or try making a comic, narrated video, or other video. Input itself and use of results without publication require no credit or other conditions.

The publisher does not prohibit machine analysis, search indexing, or training and fine-tuning AI models with this work, whether commercial or noncommercial. Creator and work attribution is not required for a trained model or each individual generated output.

If the work's text or images are redistributed to third parties as a training dataset, the dataset must be available free of charge and must state the work title, creator name, official distribution page, and the fact that it is an unofficial dataset.

This policy does not imply that the publisher endorses, supervises, or recommends any trained model, AI service, or generated output. A generated output that substantially reproduces the original PDF, text, or images remains subject to the relevant PDF-redistribution or derivative-use terms. AI-generated fan art and other fan creations, including those made using AI input, are subject to Sections 3 through 5 when published.

A model that reproduces the work’s characters may be distributed to third parties only for free and without revenue to its creator. Published sample images must follow the all-ages and credit conditions of Section 3.

7. Disclaimer and Canonical Files

The work is provided as is. Its accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, and continued future availability are not guaranteed. Except where liability cannot legally be excluded, the publisher is not responsible for damage arising from use of the work.

The publisher does not control or guarantee third-party mirrors, translations, readings, fan creations, datasets, or other publications. Check the official distribution page for the latest edition, corrections, and the version and SHA-256 hashes of canonical files.

8. Changes to These Guidelines

Except for the redistribution permission granted in Section 2 for official version 1.0 PDFs, these fan-creation guidelines may be changed when necessary. The revised text and its effective or revision date will be announced on the official distribution page. Except in serious cases, creations published under an earlier version may continue under that version. In cases of serious rights infringement, confusion with official material, or similar problems, the publisher may individually request correction or removal even for material published under an earlier version of the guidelines.

We do not answer individual inquiries, consultations, or requests for permission about these terms. You may send a notice that needs no reply through the official site.
